Food For Friday

Happy Friday! I thought I’d try something new today. After the last few posts about toxins, and pretty much ever post I have ever written here, I feel like it’s time for something a little lighter, more exciting, and less nerdy! And, I thought it might be fun for you guys to get a healthy recipe every week… hence the idea for Food For Friday!

I want to note that I am not an aspiring food blogger, so these will just be short and sweet with a picture or two… but not twenty-five!

A Good Green Smoothie?

Most smoothies that are this green in color don’t necessarily taste good, even though we know they are good for us! This one will surprise you though! Not only is it quick and easy and healthy; it also tastes great! So take five minutes to whip it up for breakfast one day, and let me know what you think!

Easy Fresh Greens Smoothie

Servings: 1

Prep time: 5 min.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt

1 cup fresh spinach greens

1 cup fresh beet greens

2 tablespoons raw creamed honey

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve immediately.
