Well here we are at the end of another week, and it’s time for another recipe!

This is a special treat! Ice cream is such a popular dessert, but of course, most ice creams are full of stuff we’d rather not put into our bodies!

Homemade ice cream is also amazing. It’s healthier but still delicious. But if you don’t have an ice cream maker, or only have a hand-cranked one and not enough time to use it, then ice cream is kind of out of the picture!

Oh wait! Here is a soft-serve, fruity, delicious ice cream that can be made quickly and easily, without a machine! You will need to freeze the bananas and berries ahead of time, so take a few minutes to do that. Then they will be ready for when it gets hot and you get a hankering for ice cream!

This ice cream whips up in ten minutes and is ready to serve immediately. The bananas and berries make it not only tasty, but also healthy and very summery!

Easy Soft-Serve Berry Banana Ice Cream

Prep time: 5-10 min.

Servings: 4-6


1 pint heavy cream

1 tbsp. pure vanilla

2 frozen bananas, broken into pieces

½-¾ lb. strawberries or raspberries


Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor; blend on high, stopping a time or two to scrape sides (if necessary), until mixture reaches desired consistency. Enjoy immediately!
